In Finley v. Hartford Life & Accident Ins. Co., No. 06-6247 CW (MEJ), 2008 WL 509084 (N.D. Cal. Feb. 22, 2008), plaintiff moved for sanctions against defendant and its counsel for failing to produce a surveillance video as part of its initial Rule 26(a) disclosures and for failing to perform a reasonable inquiry into the existence and location of responsive documents.
